It can be hard trying to find an online sportsbook to place your bets. You want one you can trust for payouts and great odds, plus you want to take advantage of any bonus offers that might be out there. We have taken out the guess-work and ranked the best offers running at the top online betting sites.
Your best bonus is always going to be your initial deposit bonus and we have a lot of great ones to choose from. This doesn’t take away from other bonuses and promotions that some of these books offer. For example, we love 5Dimes for their reduced juice and would take that promo over any of these any day of the week. It’s the gift that keeps on giving! With that being said, you really should have multiple accounts to shop for lines, so you should make sure you get the most bang for your buck!
Cash Bonus vs Free-Play
A deposit bonus is how much more will be added to your account on top of your deposit. Depositing $100 with a 50% bonus gets you an extra $50. The biggest difference you will be looking at when comparing offers is likely cash vs free-play.
A cash bonus simply adds the stated amount to your account. As long as you meet the rollover requirement (more on that later), that money is yours to keep.
A free-play bonus still adds the advertised funds to your account to play with, however, you only keep the winnings. If you lose the free-play money, no problem, you don’t have to pay it back, however, if you end up winning, you only keep the winning portion of the funds, the free play amount is removed.
You almost always want the cash bonus option if it is available.
Rollover Requirements
You will always want to check the rollover requirements for a given bonus. These will usually say something like 5x (5 times) or 10x. This means you must bet enough to “rollover” the bonus amount that many times. For example, if your rollover requirement is 5x and your deposit bonus is $100, you must wager $500 in total bets before you can withdraw your winnings.
Sportsbook Reload Bonuses
Many sites also offer what are called reload bonuses. These are typically smaller than an initial (new account) sign up bonus, but still worth checking out when you are making a decision on which book to go with. A reload bonus is exactly what it sounds like. When you reload your account, you can get a 10%-20% bonus based on the amount of the deposit, however, be sure to check on each book’s terms on their reload option, some will only allow you to take advantage of it once!
